Who is responsible
Wakas Mir is the data controller for Vertigo Log. Contact: mail@wakasmir.com
What we store
- Your email address and a one-way hash of your password (we cannot read your password).
- The episodes you log: date, type, length, severity, ear, symptoms, triggers and notes. This is health information.
- Short-lived records of login attempts by IP address, to block password guessing. These are deleted after one day.
Why, and on what basis
We store your episodes only to show them back to you and build your reports. Because this is health data, we rely on your explicit consent (GDPR Article 9(2)(a)), given when you create your account. You can withdraw it at any time by deleting your account.
Who can see it
Only you, when logged in. We do not sell, share or analyse your data, or show ads. We set one cookie of our own, a login session cookie. Password reset emails are sent through Mailgun. The site and database are hosted with GoDaddy.
Spam protection
The sign-up, login and password reset forms use Google reCAPTCHA to stop automated spam. Google may set cookies and collect technical data such as your IP address and browser details for this purpose. Google receives no health information. See Google's privacy policy.
Your rights
- Download everything: Account → Download all data.
- Delete everything: Account → Delete my account. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
- You can also ask us for access, correction or deletion at mail@wakasmir.com, and complain to Datatilsynet (datatilsynet.no).
